"Business Insider" said : Apple iPhone 8 rumors: Release date may be pushed to after September

as declared in Here's what we think we know about the fabled "OLED iPhone," which analysts have been calling the "iPhone 8" or "iPhone X." Here's the current state of iPhone rumors: Apple is expected to launch three iPhone models this fall. The last time Apple launched an iPhone outside of the September month was in 2011, when the iPhone 4S launched in October. That last one is the phone Apple fans will probably want — the "10th anniversary" iPhone, with a better "OLED" screen, redesigned fingerprint sensor, and likely other cutting-edge technologies that haven't even been rumored yet. The highest-end iPhone, with a "OLED" screen with deeper blacks, could have a casing made of "forged stainless steel" and a back made of glass.

Apple iPhone 8 To Feature 'Lightning'-Fast Charging
The fast charging by cord might be in addition to a wireless charging feature in the new handset, which is expected to be released in September, analysts say. The iPhone 8 is expected to be a major redesign, timed with the 10th-anniversary of the first iPhone release. Apple's (AAPL) upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone is likely to feature superfast wired charging through its proprietary Lightning connector, renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities says. Apple will source new components from Texas Instruments (TXN) and Cypress Semiconductor (CY) to enable the faster charging, Kuo said. Apple also is expected to release upgraded versions of its current-generation handsets that will be called the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.

No, Apple Isn't Dropping Lighting for USB-C on the iPhone 8
I suspected the sources misinterpreted what they knew, and instead Apple would include a Lightning to USB-C cable in the box. Translation: Apple is including a Lightning to USB-C cable with this year's iPhone models, and they'll let our smartphones charge faster than before. Instead, Apple will stick with the Lightning conector and add support for USB Type-C power delivery for faster charging. Earlier this week the Wall Street Journal reported the iPhone 8 would sport USB-C instead of a Lightning connector, which didn't sound like a change Apple would make this year. Adding Type-C charging won't help older iPhones or iPads juice up any quicker even though the new cable will support it.
