Graphics processors are part of the architecture Apple uses in its iPhones, iPads, and other mobile devices to keep them running faster with smoother graphics. Imagination says Apple declined to provide proof it can create the graphics processors without using its patents. Imagination Graphics questioned whether Apple can develop its own processors without violating patents tied to its GPU technology.

The Smart Connector will apparently also support for accessories synced to augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) as well.
