Apple launches iPhone XR and iPhone XS trade-in offer in many more countries, including China

as informed in Apple has today launched a iPhone XS and iPhone XR trade-in promotion offer in China, including a prominent banner on the Chinese version of Apple.com's homepage. The deal is similar to what we have seen Apple aggressively promote in the United States. The boosted trade in values mean that a Chinese customer can pick up an iPhone XR for 4,399 RMB ($640), or iPhone XS for 6599 RMB ($960), when trading in an iPhone 7 Plus. Unlike the US, customers must visit a Chinese Apple retail store to take advantage of the offer. A similar promotion is also live in Australia today.

More iPhone Discounts To Fight Low SalesApple continues to counter the weak sales of the new iPhones with more discounts. As I've noted previously, Tim Cook's Apple is looking to change the story - from sales of iPhones to revenue from services. Apple approves Indian government's Do Not Disturb app, avoiding iPhone ban

referring to With that deadline fast approaching, an Apple spokesperson in India has confirmed that the app become available today in the iOS App Store. The app, titled TRAI DND – Do Not Disturb, promises to help Indian consumers curb unwanted phone calls and text messages — an issue that has become hugely problematic within the country. It's unclear whether the version of DND released in the App Store implements additional privacy protections beyond what was originally devised by TRAI. After users select spam calls or messages, DND will auto-create complaint text messages and send them to the appropriate carrier for processing, at no charge. The TRAI-DND app is available for free from the iOS App Store.
