This is both faster and more secure than any previous fingerprint technology, and it will debut in Samsung's Galaxy S10 this month. In an era of 1080p and 1440p OLEDs, the 720p LCD in the iPhone XR doesn't cut it with customers - even after Apple's recent stealth price cuts. Consequently, buyers will get a second-generation iPhone XR still stuck with LCD. This causes problems for the whole iPhone range as the iPhone XR was meant to be the primary sales driver. While the iPhone XR display may look poor on paper, in reality it is better than many 1080p rivals.
