Apple Supplier Warning Reveals iPhone XR Problem

referring to The WSJ reveals that Apple will drop LCD displays altogether from next year's iPhone line-up in favour of OLED. In an era of 1080p and 1440p OLEDs, the 720p LCD in the iPhone XR doesn't cut it with customers - even after Apple's recent stealth price cuts. Consequently, buyers will get a second-generation iPhone XR still stuck with LCD. This causes problems for the whole iPhone range as the iPhone XR was meant to be the primary sales driver. While the iPhone XR display may look poor on paper, in reality it is better than many 1080p rivals.
