Kuo's report says Apple will introduce dual-sim dual-standby (DSDS) functionality for the iPhone X Plus (no word on other models) allowing users to run two networks simultaneously. Kuo believes Apple will price the iPhone X Plus at the original iPhone X price of just under $1,000 (assume $999), with the second generation iPhone X sitting below it, while the budget iPhone X will be just $700. Given the budget iPhone X (my guess is it will simply be called 'iPhone' like the entry level 'MacBook' and 'iPad') will sport an (almost) identical design to its premium stablemates, a $300 saving should have widespread appeal.

according to Forbes' Gordon Kelly first reported on Apple's plans in April this year, noting that the fast charger is already an Apple product, but only available as an accessory. That means Apple will package the new iPhone X handsets with a USB-C to lightning charging cable. The inclusion of the fast charger is welcome, although I do wonder why it has taken so long for Apple to do so. The next question is when Apple will release hardware that will enable fast wireless charging using Apple's AirPower. That was announced at the iPhone X launch but still remains a vapourware product that is not yet available for consumers to buy.

Supply chain sources are backing up information that suggests Apple will increase the availability of FaceID and upgrade the entire 2018 portfolio of devices. Currently just one iPhone carries FaceID – the iPhone X – but the increase in numbers in the supply chain would be enough to equip three handsets.
