Things escalated quickly in 2018 with Samsung and Huawei announcing that their foldable smartphones will debut in 2019. Samsung showcased a working prototype of their foldable smartphone at an event recently showing how close they are to a consumer device. Another little-known Chinese company called Royale surprised everyone by launching the world' first foldable smartphone called FlexPai (it's supposed to go on sale in China by the end of this year). The iPhone XR is a great phone, of course, but it can also be a fantastic video camera. Shot on iPhone XRApple just released a new video for the "Shot on iPhone" ad campaign, which is entitled "Shot on iPhone XR — Experiments II: Full Circle." For the making of this video, the team at Incite – Donghoon Jun and James Thornton – used 32 iPhone XRs mounted on a bullet time rig. However, I think it is the first time a bullet time rig is used with smartphones. Bullet Time with SmartphonesA bullet time rig is a camera combination that goes anywhere from 24 to 240+ cameras to create an effect of time freeze. This video also uses specific iPhone camera capabilities like slow-mo, which can go up to 240 frames per second.

Apple highlights best photos shot on iPhone around the world

as declared in S Max to iPhone 7, showcasing the quality of cameras across the line. iPhone photographers around the world shared their best photos for the Shot on iPhone Challenge , capturing remarkable moments with the world's most popular camera. The 10 selected winners will be featured on billboards in select cities, in Apple retail stores and online. The winning shots came from a range of models, from iPhone XMax to iPhone 7, showcasing the quality of cameras across the line. The top 10 winners came from countries including Singapore, Germany, Belarus, Israel and the US, highlighting the global community of iPhone photographers that participated.
