Apple's Foldable New iPhone Is Coming Together
Apple has already made two iPhone updates this year (one planned, one angrily protested) but following the launch of radical folding smartphones by Samsung and Huawei, Apple's more ambitious iPhone plans are now taking shape…Earlier this week Apple revealed patents covering its plans for creating a folding iPhone. The illustrations show screen orientation, hinge design and structural integrity, and now Dutch industrial designer Roy Gilsing has fleshed them out. Working with Foldable News, Gilsing has demonstrated how the application of Apple's design aesthetic on this form factor has the potential to create a truly transformative device. Coincidentally, Apple is also expected to launch a punch hole iPhone design (something you can see on Gilsing's main screen) next year. And that day no longer looks far away, which really would silence the doubters…___Follow Gordon on Twitter, Facebook and Google+More On ForbesApple Warned iPhones Have An Innovation ProblemApple Leak Reveals Surprise Product(Red) iPhone ReleaseApple 'Confirms' iPhone 7, iPhone 8 Hardware ChangesiPhone 11 Leak Claims Slow Charging, High Prices RemainApple Discusses Making iPhone Price CutsApple's work on advancing iPhone Waterproofing introduces a New Style of Charging and Data Port
As it stated in According to Apple, the discrete contact regions could form positive, negative and/or ground terminals. In some embodiments, one or more magnets could be positioned within the iPhone's housing and proximate contact regions 302-1, 302-2 and 302-3 and be configured to align contacts of an electrical connector with contact regions 302-1, 302-2 and 302-3. Apple's iPhone port design may use that or a variant of it in the future. Apple began work on this new port for iPhone back in 2016. Patently Apple covered it in a report titled "Patent Illustrates Future iPhone having Backside Invisible 'Smart Connector' Port."collected by :Clara William
